    First pitch against the Minnesota Twins is still about three hours away, but Mike Sarbaugh is already out on the diamond at Cleveland’s Progressive Field hitting fungoes to utility infielder Erik Gonzalez. Deep in the shortstop hole, the Indians’ third base/infielders coach is putting Gonzalez through the paces.

    After evaluating field conditions at Warwick's softball complex and taking into consideration the immediate forecast of inclement weather, as well as more going forward, the decision was made to cancel the Lancaster-Lebanon League softball championship game rescheduled for Thursday night.  Read more.

  • Baseball and Softball Off To Quick Starts +

    Opening its season with a 4-2 win over Central Dauphin, the Donegal baseball squad is off to a quick start. Each team notched five hits with the Panthers committing two errors to Donegal’s one. Hits were credited to Tanner Kohler, Dale Houser, Patrick Beaudoin (2), and Seller Edwards. Ryan Buckius got the start on the mound for Donegal and scattered five hits and four walks over five-and-two-thirds innings of work. Dale Houser was brought on in relief for the save, throwing one-and-a-third innings, surrendering four hits and walking one batter. Each pitcher struck out four.

  • Swimmers Cap off Monumental Season, Grapplers Named To Section All-Stars +

    Congratulations on a super performance by our Donegal swimmers this weekend at States! Tyler Wilkinson finished 18th in the 200 freestyle and 17th in the 100 backstroke. Jenna Park was 27th in the 100 freestyle and 8th in the 50 freestyle. Her sister Jordynn Park won a medal by placing 5th in the 100 butterfly and she also finished 10th in the 100 breaststroke. Claire O'Neil finished her freshman campaign by placing 22nd in the 500 freestyle and 14th in the 200 individual medley, and Jake Houck brought home some hardware by securing 5th place in the 100 butterfly. Congratulations on such a great season!
