Indian Pride Drives Spirit of Volunteerism

Jim Brinser never donned a green and white uniform. But he gets an overwhelming sense of pride when he attends a sporting event or school function in the district. That's why he volunteers as a board member for the Donegal Athletic Club.

"With my daughter participating in several sports and school clubs, I have had the opportunity to socialize with many different parents and booster clubs," he said. "They all have one common thread: pride in our students in athletes."

"The Donegal Athletic Club is driven by the same principal," he added. "It's not about having the best sports facility; it's about having pride in our athletes and giving them the safest environment in which to compete and to achieve their personal best goals."

As a DAC board member, Jim's goal is to witness current athletes and recent graduates benefit from what the club has done for them, and to encourage more Donegal fans to support the club in any way they can: by volunteering for the board, supporting the annual membership drive, helping with events, and passing on the leadership and teamwork skills they themselves learned at Donegal to future athletes.
