There’s Even More Reason to Celebrate Donegal Athletics this Holiday Season

As the fall draws to a close, there’s even more reason to celebrate Donegal Athletics. Our dedicated athletes are what make athletics at Donegal so special. As one Donegal coach recently said, “We are so proud. We love our kelly green. We’re proud to wear the green and white and step off the bus and walk onto the pitch. People see us coming and go, ‘whoa, there they are.’ That’s pretty powerful. I’m proud to coach at Donegal and be a part of something that is revered.”

Memorial Wall Recognizes Leaders in the Donegal Community

Each year, leaders in the Donegal community are recognized for their dedication through inclusion on the Donegal Memorial Monument. These individuals, who are selected by the Donegal Memorial Monument Committee, have made substantial contributions that have made a lasting, positive impact within the Donegal School District. This year, Donegal will honor Oliver C. Overlander II and John Weidman.

Meet the Coaches: Scott Summers, Girls Soccer Coach

Soccer has been a vital part of Scott Summers’ life for more than two decades. The Lancaster County native played soccer at Pequea Valley High School before graduating and accepting an athletic scholarship to play NCAA Division II collegiate soccer. Now, Summers is the head coach of the Donegal girls’ soccer program for both the high school and junior high. Read more to learn about his cocahing philosophy!
