4 DHS Baseball Players Earn All-Star Nods

Four Indian baseball players were selected for the Section Two All-Star Team. Outfielder Kyle Hess was named to the First Team, while second baseman Seiler Edwards, shortstop Dale Houser, and pitcher Dawson Mager earned spots on the Second Team.

Indian Pride Drives Spirit of Volunteerism

Jim Brinser never donned a green and white uniform. But he gets an overwhelming sense of pride when he attends a sporting event or school function in the district. That's why he volunteers as a board member for the Donegal Athletic Club.

"With my daughter participating in several sports and school clubs, I have had the opportunity to socialize with many different parents and booster clubs," he said. "They all have one common thread: pride in our students in athletes."

Rachel Robinson Earns Prestigious Scholar-Athlete Award

Congratulations to Rachel Robinson, who was named the L/L League A. Landis Brackbill Female Scholar Athlete of the Year. Rachel is a three-sport Indian athlete (softball, basketball, and field hockey) who surpassed 1,000 career points this past season for the girls' basketball team.

The scholar-athlete award, named for the first executive director of the L-L League and former principal at Penn Manor, is presented annually to two senior student-athletes who maintain a 3.0 grade point average and letter in or play in 75 percent of at least two PIAA-sponsored sports in one year.
